Watercolor Nature Journaling: Along the Petaluma River

Join Kristin for a day of watercolor nature journaling basics with a focus on the river in the heart of Petaluma. The day begins with an introduction to mixing the eight pigments in your palette to create a wide range of colors, followed by simple exercises that will give you hands-on experience in transferring what you see to your journal. Writing a few descriptive or poetic words add depth to the memory of your experience and Kristin will provide you with prompts to spark your imagination. Weather permitting, we will spend time on the river experiencing it with your new skills. Your compact kit includes a palette with 8 pigments, a journal, waterbrush and additional tools. (If you have a kit from one of Kristin’s previous workshops, you may waive the kit fee, but no substitutions please). This workshop is for all levels, 16 and up.
