The Art of Japanese Fish Printing (Gyotaku)

Join us as Tidal Response artist Chris Dewees explains and demonstrates Gyotaku, the art of Japanese fish printing, a practice dating back to the mid-1800s. The presentation will be followed by a reading and signing of his newly published book A Life Among Fishes (Goff Books), documenting 50 years of immersion in this unique art practice.
