As part of Petaluma’s History Week celebration, please join the Petalumans of Yesteryear in the second annual History Trails walk through our historic downtown! This is your chance to meet some of Petaluma’s most colorful, influential and fascinating characters, including Clara McNear, Issac Wickersham, Addie Atwater, William Howard Pepper, Lyman Byce (inventor of the heated incubator) and many more. Along the way, historic points of interest will be pointed out, and each character will delight with their humorous, sad, and sometimes, downright bawdy stories, which took place right here in our historic town! The walk begins at the Balshaw Bridge at the foot of Western Ave., and is moderate in length (1 – 1.5 hours), the pace leisurely. Don’t forget walking shoes, hats, water and sunscreen to be comfortable. Light refreshments served outdoors at conclusion of walk in the Museum Garden Court. Walk limited to 20 people! Cost: $20 general, $15 for those 62+ and for museum members. To reserve space: Purchase tickets online at Brown Paper Tickets , Petaluma Museum, or call the Museum at 707-778-4398.
